OPEN DOOR EVENT at the EDINBURGH SCULPTURE WORKSHOP
SATURDAY 30TH APRIL - 10am – 3pm
We recently received the RSA Residencies for Scotland award to construct a prototype bothy at the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop. The project will take place between 1st May and 30th June 2011 after which the bothy will be transported to a rural site where it will open as an art residency bothy.
The purpose of the open door event is to gather interest in the project and invite ideas on designs, materials, locations and connections to potential landlords and sponsors. We are looking for ESW members to get involved in the design and build of the prototype bothy. Following this event we will be schedualing design and build workshops with ESW members throughout May and June culminating in the transportation and construction of the completed bothy in a rural location in July.
